Curriculum Vitae
Currently, I am a Ph.D. student and Research Assistant at the Department of Wireless Networks, RWTH Aachen University, Germany. I did my Master's degree in Communications Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany (2006) and my bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan (2002). I am a student member of IEEE and ACM.
Current Research Interests
My research interests include low-power design, energy efficient networking techniques and distributed algorithms for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). My current focus is on power-aware, reconfigurable and intelligent MAC protocols and cross-layer optimization methods for WSNs.
Teaching Responsibilities
- In WS09/10, I am conducting SMEAGOL laboratory course.
- In SS09, I was responsible for overall coordination of laboratory courses and I also supervised the Programming Project for Bachelor's students.
- In WS08/09, I assisted the course, Wireless Sensor Networks: Principles and Applications.
- In SS08, I conducted the laboratory courses: 1) Ad Hoc Networking and Mobile Computing and 2) SMEAGOL (Small, Embedded, Advanced and Generic Objects).
- In WS07/08, I assisted the course, Wireless Sensor Networks: Principles and Applications.
- In WS06/07, I assisted the course, Wireless Sensor Networks: Principles and Applications. In addition, I also conducted the SMEAGOL laboratory course.
- In SS06, I conducted SMEAGOL (Small, Embedded, Advanced and Generic Objects) laboratory course.
